For most of the day, Tami Whitney on Bath Toy was in the "radio" lead with a very impressive 8.4lb calico bass. At the end of the day the big bass couldn't hold on to the lead as team Ravyn with angler Jimmie Linville caught a 17.7 lb halibut and Guy Rowlett caught a 9.3 lb Halibut for 1^st and 2^nd place and Boat side jackpot money for a total win of $3,293.00. Tami ended up in 3rd place with her calico, which will take third place money and the side pot in the women division for a total win of $1002.00. Plus she has a solid lead in the bass division for a ladies jacket at the end of the year. 4^th place and points went to Knucklehead's Ryin Garcilaso with a 28.5" - 7 lb White Seabass, and 5^th went to another lady angler, Cindy Troyer on PacTime with an impressive 5.5 lb Calico. Our Junior angler winner for the day was Joey Renfrew with a 2.9 lb Barracuda.

Whoever made 4^th of July on a Monday sure screwed things up for planning our San Clemente Island Trip. I would like to see who is planning to make the trip and when they can leave? Also how many days are you staying? Normally I would be out there for a week, I would leave Saturday morning the 2^nd and return Saturday afternoon the 9^th. Of course our calico bass is scheduled for the 9^th since we are at San Clemente the 9^th we can start fishing at 6am and if you catch a contender run across the pond for the weigh in on Saturday at 5pm.

I'm sure some people can only make it out for the weekend and others can only make it on the 4^th. This is one of those things where you can't make everyone happy all the time. I may go Saturday to Saturday, and I may leave the 5^th on Tuesday and return on the 9^th.
